Updates, changes, and improvements at Mojave

Custom Rates Per Task Now Available
Billing flexibility just got a major upgrade. With custom task rates, you can now define specific hourly rates for different types of work within a single project. For example, you can charge $120/hour for development tasks and $80/hour for design — all within the same invoice.
This update is perfect for agencies, studios, or freelancers who wear multiple hats and want more detailed, client-transparent billing.

What’s new:
Set individual hourly rates per task
Task rate overrides the default project rate
Time entries and invoices now reflect task-specific pricing
You’ll find this feature inside the Tasks tab within each Project. It’s billing, your way.

Slack Reminders and Channel Alerts
We’ve improved our Slack integration to help your team stay on track and informed — without leaving your workspace.
With the new update, Mojave can now send:
Daily reminders via DM if you haven’t tracked any time
Project activity alerts to shared team channels
Invoice notifications to ops or billing groups
These updates are lightweight, customizable, and ideal for async teams who rely on Slack for day-to-day ops.
Setup tips:
Go to Settings → Integrations → Slack
Choose what types of notifications you want
Connect any workspace channel or individual DM
It’s time tracking that fits into your flow – not the other way around.

Organize Invoices with Tags and Filters
Managing invoices just became more organized. You can now tag invoices and use filters to quickly find what you need.

Whether you’re handling multiple clients or tracking billing cycles, this feature helps you stay on top of things without spreadsheets.
What’s new:
Add custom tags like #retainer, #paid, #Q1
Filter by client, project, status, or tag
Bulk export filtered invoices to CSV or PDF
This is especially useful for finance teams, quarterly reports, or reviewing your history with a single client.
Check it out now under the Invoices tab – and say goodbye to endless scrolling.

Google Calendar Event Previews in Time Tab
Time tracking from meetings has never been easier. Mojave now previews your synced Google Calendar events directly in the Time view.
This means you can quickly convert events into tracked time — without retyping or guessing the details.
New experience:
See a preview of upcoming events
One-click to convert to a time entry
Mojave suggests project, task, and notes automatically
It’s a fast, clean way to capture your day — especially if you live by your calendar.
Don’t forget: You can configure which calendars sync and how often under Settings → Integrations → Google Calendar.

CLI Config and Defaults
For our developer users and automation nerds: the Mojave CLI just got more powerful and easier to work with.
You can now set default values for your workspace — like a default project — so you don’t have to pass them every time.
What’s included:
mojave config --project [project_id] to save a default
mojave config to view or reset your CLI settings
Defaults apply to all future time tracking commands
This is especially handy for scripts or recurring entries tied to one project. It reduces clutter, speeds up commands, and just makes the CLI friendlier overall.
To get started, make sure you’re using mojave-cli v1.3+.
